This will be bonus content! More so for volume two and three:
That Night Under the Stars
I took your hand in mine,
your warmth bleeding into my fingers,
a quiet ember against the cold.
The mountain air was sharp,
but with you beside me, I barely noticed.
I meant to show you my favorite star
the one that never wavered,
burning brighter than all the others.
Hand in hand, we climbed,
our steps quiet over the snow,
our story unfolding in the constellations above.
I turned to you,
ready to share something precious,
ready to take another step to bring you closer—
but you kissed me first.
And in that moment,
doubt unraveled like mist at dawn.
Had you been waiting all along?
Had I been too blind to see it?
How long had you been mine?
How long had I been yours?
Long before this moment,
long before I ever thought I’d won your heart.
I was chasing something
that had already been mine.
And knowing that—
knowing you had already chosen me—
made me fall for you all over again.
Yours.
Mine.
And that kiss,
the taste of your lips,
the breath between us—Ah,
that night under the stars,
we fell in love.
