I haven’t forgotten about Daevas II. I’m still a little over halfway through the first-pass editing process. Once I finish that, I’ll be opening it up to beta readers.
When it’s ready, or close to ready, I’ll make a Google Form for anyone interested in signing up. If you’ve never beta read before, no worries! It mostly involves leaving comments about how you felt while reading, pointing out anything confusing, and noting any recurring grammar or formatting issues you notice. I’ll also include a guide at the beginning of the document so you’ll have something to reference.
After beta reading, the next big hurdle will be finding a good line/copyeditor and proofreader within my budget. I’ve been thinking about possibly setting up a Kickstarter or Patreon to help with production costs, but my books are pretty niche and I know the economy is rough right now, so we’ll see what makes the most sense when the time comes.
On the life side, I’m also a fresh grad currently navigating the job search. Tech has been rough for new grads lately, so that’s taking up a good portion of my time and energy. That said, I’m still making time to write and edit whenever I can.
